This is a spare or replacement equestrian lanyard. Perfect for users that have more than one saddle.
The Helite lanyard system uses a multi-directional key-ball trigger – this is a proven and safe system. The lanyard and saddle strap must be fitted correctly in order for the air jacket system to work correctly.
Fitting your Helite Equestrian Lanyard – THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!
A clip and a key ball are located at each end of the lanyard.
The key ball needs to be re-inserted into the piston in order for the vest to trigger correctly. Please watch our instructional video or refer to user guide to make sure you have this correctly positioned.
Once the key ball end of the lanyard is secured you then clip yourself onto the saddle strap once you have mounted your horse.
The closer the lanyard and saddle strap are to your centre of gravity when seated on your horse the better.
Try out the length and adjust it until you reach an optimal length.
It should only be tight when you are stood up.
If the length of the strap is too long the inflation of the airbag jacket could be delayed.
Keep it away from anything sharp or abrasive that could damage or weaken the strap.
Please see the instruction manual supplied with the jacket for help in attaching your lanyard.
